Hawki Futurity

OCTOBER 6-9, 2005 NATIONAL CATTLE CONGRESS GROUNDS

$3,000 added money open futurity (long go rounds 3D ½ sec splits - short go and average = straight open payback) (*2 gos and short-go) 20% each go round and 40% average. (short go and average straight open payback) (Use your BEST qualifying time from rounds 1 or 2 to "qualify" for short-go round on Sunday.

* Must have 51 or more entries to have short-go format, otherwise we will just use 2 go rounds and an average payoff format)

Entry Fee (total with stall = $320) (Stall, processing fee/starting fee and 2 exhibitions included with entry fee)

Hawki Futurity Breeder's Incentive (2 gos and avg payback using open futurity times)

Regardless of format of open futurity. The HFBI will be paid on the first two go rounds and the average of those go rounds.

Open 3D Barrel Race BBR approved Fri/Sat (full second splits) (enter at show - cash only) 4D with 75 entries or more. $25 entry fee

How do I know if my horse is eligible for the futurity? - The open futurity ($3000 added money) is open to ANY horse 5 years old, or younger (foaled 2000 or later) AND cannot compete in ANY barrel racing competition prior to 12/01/04. (you must sign form at bottom stating that the horse was never entered prior to this date) If we find out later that the horse was entered in barrel racing prior to 12/01/04, you will lose all fees paid to date, and be disqualified.

Open Futurity

$3000 added money (see info above)

Nominations due July 1 st , 2004 = $150 (guarantees your stall) Additional stalls $45 (tack stall $25)

Sustain due August 1 st , 2004 = $100

Final due September 1 st , 2004 = $70

Total entry fees and nomination fees = $320 No refunds for ANY reason (includes processing fees, and exhibitions and stall fees)

Horse substitutions allowed for $50 sub fee after nomination date. (no subs after Sept 1)

Rider substitutions are allowed.

Late fee after July 1 = $50 (NO ENTRIES accepted after September 1 st , 2005) No exceptions for anyone! This is a futurity- we do not accept on-site entries, or ANY entries after Sept 1, 2005 for futurity.

HFBI (Hawki Futurity Breeders Incentive) This is a separate pot of money (not a separate run) ANY horse entered in the open futurity that is sired by a HFBI stallion is eligible to compete for this money.

BARREL RACE HELD AT NATIONAL CATTLE CONGRESS GROUNDS - OUTDOOR COVERED ARENA - WATERLOO , IOWA

Stalls - included in your entry fee. Additional stalls available $45 each.

Tie-outs - not allowed. They do have a tie-stall barn. These stalls are $25/weekend.

Camping - available on grounds (with electric) $10 per night

Schedule - Stalls open to futurity entrants Thursday.

Thursday

12 pm - 6:30 pm Open riding FUTURITY HORSES ONLY

7 pm Exhibitions (in order) (must have horse numbered before riding in arena) All horses MUST BE checked in by 1:00 PM Friday (you will get another FREE exhibitions for Friday night or Saturday am).

Friday

7 am stalls open to Barrel Bash entrants

8 am Office open

10 am - 3 pm 30 minute "warm up" sessions with barrels $10 each (limit 11 horses per session)

1:00 PM DEADLINE FUTURITY HORSES CHECK IN

3 pm - 5 pm Exhibitions

6 pm First Go Round Futurity

7 pm (not before) Open 4D Barrels $1000 added Barrel Bash

Saturday

7:30 - 8:30 am 30 minute "warm up" sessions with barrels $10 each (limit 11 horses per session)

8:30 am - 10:15 am Exhibitions

11:00 am Seasoned Rider 3D $100 added Barrel Bash

1:00 pm (not before) Open 4D $2000 added Barrel Bash

Immediately following Open 4D YOUTH 3D $100 added Barrel Bash

6 pm (not before) Second Go Round Futurity

Sunday

7:30-8:00 am Open Arena Futurity Horses Only

8:30 am Short Go Round Futurity (if this format is used, must have 51 entries to use short go format)

Immediately Following Open 4D $2000 added Barrel Bash
